Vintage Camden town!

Good evening shopping addicted,
a statistical study (made by me) shows the 99% of the men call more than 20 years old stuff "dusted rubbish" while the 99% of the women call it "vintage treasure"!

Yes I abolish the word "old" because the right one is VINTAGE!
Keep the clothes and do not throw them away after one season, they will became useful in the future, maybe your daughter will love them! Most of the time I go shopping with my mum she says indicating a leather belt or a pair of shoes: "Look, when I was 19 I had the same! But I think I throw them away.." What?????!!!! Why?????!!!!
Luckly if your mum is crazy as mine you can also go and have a bit of shopping in Vintage places. Absolutely famouse for his "old style" is Camden Market in London.
I spent my last Sunday morning there and of course I bought something! Losing the control in front of leather vintage shoes, foulard, Rayban, vests, high waisted skirts and watches, I thought I had finished in a 60's black and white movie: amazing!
A digital gold watch has been my best purchase of the weekend (only 6£) and a typical sheath dress was the second best one! The dress is in a vintage style of course but it is made modern by a lovely light blue colour: a deal!

If you are old fashion lover you cannot miss this market, you have to go and spend hours and hours looking at all the shops and with patience, rummaging in a occasions box you will find the dress of your life! (Tip: be careful, because sometimes they try to sell you rubbish things claiming to be vintage).
An event you will appreciate is "Vintage at Southbank" (London 29-31 July 2011) where it will expected retro-inspired bands and famouse wonderful dresses celeb! (For more information southbankcentre.co.uk)

Buonasera a tutte voi amanti della moda!

Secondo una recente statisca (condotta da me) il 99% degli uomini definisce un'oggetto con più di 20 anni "roba vecchia" mentre il 99% delle donne definisce lo stesso oggetto "tesoro vintage"!
Ed è proprio così: aboliamo la parola "vecchio" dal nostro dizionario della moda e sostituiamola con VINTAGE!
Non buttare via nulla, non solo dopo una stagione! Mettilo da parte e magari tornerà di moda tra una decina d'anni!
Molte volte mi è capitato di fare shopping con mia mamma e sentirla commentare di fronte a cinture in pelle o scarpe old fashion "Io ne avevo un paio proprio simili alla tua età...ma penso di averle buttate!"
Cosa????????????!!!!!!!!
Fortunatamente anche se vostra mamma ha buttato il suo guardaroba potete sempre dedicarvi ad un po' di sano shopping tra i vari mercatini delle pulci e i vari negozi vintage.
Famoso per l'ispirazione retrò il mercato di Camden Town a Londra. Proprio lì ho speso la mia scorsa domenica mattina e naturalmente ho fatto acquisti! Incantata di fronte a scarpe in pelle, vestitini, occhiali Rayban, borse vintage, foulard, gonne a vita alta ecc. mi sentivo come in un film in bianco e nero: fantastico!!!

Un orologio digitale da polso (solo 6£) è stato il miglior acquisto del weekend, per non parlare del tubino stile anni 60 reso moderno da una tinta azzurro cielo.
Se sei un'amante dello stile vintage non puoi assolutamente non visitare Camden Market, con un po' di pazienza e un po' di tempo, rovistando in qualche box delle occasioni, troverai sicuramente l'abito adatto a te!
Da non perdere è poi l'evento Vintage at Southbank (a Londra dal 29 al 31 Luglio). Bande musicali ispirate agli anni 20 e ospiti famosi impeccabilmente vestiti ti aspettano e assieme a loro ti aspetto anchio!
